Judy Mason-White established the practice that became Mason White Landscape Architecture in 1989. Joined by Stephen White, the firm grew around a shared belief: the best landscapes come from close collaboration, design excellence, and pride in making.
Today, the studio brings together designers, builders, craftspeople, and gardeners with the breadth of skill to care for a project from first thought to long-term life.

What kinds of projects are a good fit?
Mason White works at a range of scales, from focused town gardens to country properties and estates. The common thread is a client who values thoughtful design, durable craft, and a close relationship with the land.
Can you both design and build the landscape?
Yes. The studio is licensed in both landscape architecture and landscape construction, so one team can carry a project from early site thinking through construction and long-term care. Design-only and construction-only collaborations are also welcome.
Do you work with architects and other builders?
Yes. Mason White regularly works as part of a wider project team and enjoys the collaboration that comes with architects, builders, artisans, and other specialists.
